Vintage Fulvio Bianconi-Inspired Murano Glass Clown Sculpture
This is a rare vinage Murano glass sculpture inspired by the illustrations of the famous Italian illustrator and graphic designer Fulvio Bianconi. This highly detailed and amusing piece, a jester standing on his head, is handmade from lattimo Murano glass. The piece measures 32 centimeters by 9 centimeters; 12.6 inches by 3.5 inches.
Fulvio Bianconi, 1915 - 1996, was a famous designer of Murano glass; not a glass master himself. Between the years of 1946, when his designs of the 12 figures of the commedie dell'arte were first presented at the Biennale in Venice, and the early 1990's, he collaborated with many of the most famous Murano furnaces including Venini, Toso and Seguso.
